Green Bottle Blue Pairing

Chromatopelma cyaneopubescens (Green Bottle Blue), is the first species of tarantula we've attempted to breed. Unfortunately I didn't witness/get pictures of the actual breeding but we'll be using this page to document the rest of the process.

Significant Dates:

08/24/13 - Egg Sac Spun
09/13/13 - Day 20, still with mother, sac pulled - eggs with legs
09/20/13 - Day 27, first instar
10/04/13 - Day 41, darkening up
10/10/13 - Day 47, second instar 176 total

10/19/13: Final Update

By day 48 all GBBs had gone to second instar - 176 total. All GBBs have been separated and most have already found new homes!

10/12/13 - Almost done sorting! 10/13/13 - Ready for new homes!
